Competition Privacy

Last updated: 26 September 2026

1.What data we collect

  • With the application: the full name, phone number and email of the person responsible for the application (a parent or responsible adult when the dancers are minors), school, choreographer/teachers, area, social media account and music, as well as the dancers' names and years of birth and the entry category.
  • With the payment: which entries were paid and when, and invoice details if an invoice is requested. Card details are processed directly by Stripe; we neither see nor store them.
  • Videos of the choreographies you upload.
  • Signed declarations by parents/guardians for minor dancers, and your choice of whether a video will be shown.
  • Chats with the competition's assistant (see below).

2.Why we use it

  • To run your entry: registration, communication, payment, judging, results, certificates and sending prizes. This is necessary for the entry you asked for.
  • For showing on YouTube and social media, only for the videos for which you chose it and, for minors, only with a signed declaration by a parent/guardian. You can change this choice on the "Showing & Declarations" page.
  • For our tax obligations (payment receipts).
  • For running and improving the competition's assistant.

3.Minor dancers

When the dancers are under 18, the application is made by a parent, guardian or responsible adult (e.g. the teacher), with their own email. A video with a minor dancer can only be shown publicly with a signed declaration by a parent/guardian. The declarations are kept on our own servers and are not publicly accessible.

4.Who sees the data

  • The organiser, to run the competition.
  • The judges see only the video, the dance style and the category — not the dancers' names, school or choreographer.
  • Publicly, only the videos for which consent was given are shown, and the results are announced. Scores below 70 are not made public.
  • Providers who serve us, only for their function: Stripe (card payments), Cloudflare (video storage), SMTP2GO (sending the competition's emails), YouTube (only for the videos that are shown) and the website's hosting providers.
  • We do not sell your data or give it to third parties for advertising.

5.The competition's assistant (Sofia)

Chats with the assistant are logged and may be read by the organiser, to check and improve the quality of the answers. The assistant has no access to the details of your entries.

At the start of the chat the assistant asks you, optionally, for an email, Instagram or phone number. If you give it, it is stored with the chat and used only to let you know if one of her answers was not correct. It is not given to the assistant and is deleted together with the rest of the logs.

The assistant runs on our own servers; chats are not sent to external artificial intelligence services. We keep only part of your IP address, so that it does not identify you. The logs are deleted after 90 days. Please do not write details in the chat that are not needed (e.g. phone numbers or addresses).

6.Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent to showing. Many of these can be done directly from your personal management link (correcting details, the showing choice, declarations). For anything else write to us at [email protected]; we reply within 30 days.

8.Changes

We may update this text; the date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
